Lotto 1243 draw delayed 55 minutes by Asian Games baseball

Why the draw moved

The draw was scheduled for 9:30 p.m., 55 minutes after its usual 8:35 p.m. Saturday slot, Money Today reported. The Asian Games baseball Super Round game between South Korea and China was still being televised after 10 p.m., so the draw was pushed back again until the broadcast ended.

The game was scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. but started at 7:30 p.m. after heavy rain at the venue. The broadcaster had scheduled coverage from 6 p.m. The draw operator, Donghaeng Lottery, said the actual broadcast time could change with the game and the television schedule.

Ticket sales did not move with the broadcast. Sales for Lotto 1243 closed at 8 p.m. at lottery retailers and on Donghaeng Lottery's official website. People could no longer buy tickets while the televised game continued and the draw was still pending.

Lotto 1243 winning numbers

Donghaeng Lottery announced the winning numbers as 9, 18, 24, 38, 43 and 44. The bonus number was 35, according to Kyunghyang Shinmun.

Twelve games matched all six winning numbers. Each first-prize game paid ₩2.59252 billion (about $1.8 million). A total of 115 games matched five winning numbers and the bonus number for second prize. Another 3,591 games matched five winning numbers for third prize.

Other lottery broadcast changes

The schedule changes extend beyond Lotto 1243 during the Asian Games period. The Sept. 24 broadcast of Pension Lottery 720+ draw 334 was moved to 8:55 p.m.

Pension Lottery 720+ draw 335, scheduled for Oct. 1, is set for either 7:35 p.m. or 8:55 p.m., depending on the sports broadcasts. Lotto 1244 on Oct. 3 will be shown at about 9:35 p.m. if South Korea's men's soccer team reaches the final. That time could change again with the match and broadcast schedule.
